The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Eastern Medina County in south central Texas...

* Until 1245 PM CDT.

* At 752 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 4 and 6 inches of rain have fallen over the past 24 hours. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening

Flooding in Medina, TX can cut off roads with little warning, damage homes near low-lying areas, and disrupt power and water service. Even a few inches of moving water can carry away a vehicle.
