* At 950 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3.5 and 16.5 inches of rain have fallen over the last 48 hours. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inch

Flooding in Liberty, TX; Polk, TX; San Jacinto, TX can cut off roads with little warning, damage homes near low-lying areas, and disrupt power and water service. Even a few inches of moving water can carry away a vehicle.
