Navasota River near Normangee affecting Madison, Grimes and Brazos Counties.

* WHAT...River will remain near flood stage

* WHERE...Navasota River near Normangee.

* WHEN...Until late tomorrow morning.

* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding begins as water escapes the main channel and inundates the floodplain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 14.8 feet. - Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet.

Flooding in Brazos, TX; Grimes, TX; Madison, TX can cut off roads with little warning, damage homes near low-lying areas, and disrupt power and water service. Even a few inches of moving water can carry away a vehicle.
