The National Weather Service in Phoenix has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for... Gila County in east central Arizona...

* Until 915 PM MST.

* At 724 PM MST, gauge reports indicated earlier thunderstorms produced heavy rain over Pinal Creek and Pinto Creek. Floodwater continues to flow northward within both of these creeks, leading to measured 4-7 foot rises. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threat

Flooding in Gila, AZ can cut off roads with little warning, damage homes near low-lying areas, and disrupt power and water service. Even a few inches of moving water can carry away a vehicle.
