The National Weather Service in New Orleans has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for... Northwestern Pointe Coupee Parish in southeastern Louisiana... Northwestern West Feliciana Parish in southeastern Louisiana...

* Until 345 PM CDT.

* At 1254 PM CDT, public reported video of water approaching homes near Simmesport. Between 6 and 13 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD.

Flooding in Pointe Coupee, LA; West Feliciana, LA can cut off roads with little warning, damage homes near low-lying areas, and disrupt power and water service. Even a few inches of moving water can carry away a vehicle.
