* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central and west central Florida, including the following counties, in central Florida, Polk. In west central Florida, Hillsborough.

* WHEN...Until 230 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1235 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is on

Flooding in Hillsborough, FL; Polk, FL can cut off roads with little warning, damage homes near low-lying areas, and disrupt power and water service. Even a few inches of moving water can carry away a vehicle.
