Flood Advisory

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Gila County in east central Arizona... Maricopa County in south central Arizona...

* WHEN...Until 845 PM MST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 545 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.25 inches

Flooding in Gila, AZ; Maricopa, AZ can cut off roads with little warning, damage homes near low-lying areas, and disrupt power and water service. Even a few inches of moving water can carry away a vehicle.
