The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Western Allen County in southeastern Kansas... Eastern Woodson County in southeastern Kansas...

* Until 345 AM CDT.

* At 1141 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated slow-moving thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

Flooding in Allen, KS; Woodson, KS can cut off roads with little warning, damage homes near low-lying areas, and disrupt power and water service. Even a few inches of moving water can carry away a vehicle.
