* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Central Grant County in southwestern New Mexico...

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 552 PM MDT, A stationary thunderstorm near Bayard has produced over a half inch of rain in 30 minutes. This is likely to result in minor flooding in poor drainage areas, and may flood roads in the area. - Some locations that w

Flooding in Grant, NM can cut off roads with little warning, damage homes near low-lying areas, and disrupt power and water service. Even a few inches of moving water can carry away a vehicle.
