Flood Advisory

Rain showers continue to move across the area this evening bringing periods of moderate to heavy rain for the Juneau area. Rainfall amounts around the Mendenhall Valley show around an inch of rain has fallen in the last six hours with another quarter of an inch possible.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Montana Creek near areas near the low water crossing on Montana Creek Road and near Back Loop Road at the Montana Creek bridge.

* WHEN...Until 930 AM AKDT.

Flooding in City and Borough of Juneau can cut off roads with little warning, damage homes near low-lying areas, and disrupt power and water service. Even a few inches of moving water can carry away a vehicle.
