Rainfall amounts around the Mendenhall Valley show around an inch of rain has fallen in the last six hours with another quarter of an inch possible.

Flooding in City and Borough of Juneau can cut off roads with little warning, damage homes near low-lying areas, and disrupt power and water service. Even a few inches of moving water can carry away a vehicle.
