European capital temperature extremes this week: May 17-24

Madrid, Paris, Brussels and Lisbon all hit 31-32°C / 88-89°F on May 22-23rd. A broad Western European heat event that pushed multiple capitals to their weekly peaks simultaneously. Amsterdam also snuck into the top 5 at 30°C / 86°F which is notably warm for the Netherlands in May
